Our Fair Isle Sweater class is the perfect introduction to the world of colorwork yoked sweater knitting! First, you’ll choose your pattern: Rockfall, Soldotna, or Goldwing (shown L to R in the photo). Then, you’ll learn to knit a sweater from the top down. You’ll knit your colorwork yoke and then separate the sleeves and body of the sweater and knit them. Weave in the ends, and you’ve got yourself a new sweater!
Materials: Pattern, yarn for your chosen size needles to obtain gauge, stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle.
Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern purchased, yarn selected, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you choose your yarn.
Skill level: This class is for graduates of Knit 2 and those who are comfortable knitting and purling in the round.
Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is needed to reserve your space. Supplies are not included in class fee unless stated.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the first class for a store credit or to move to a different class or session. We cannot offer a store credit if we receive less than 3 days notice. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions, so please make sure you can attend each class. If a class is canceled, you’ll receive a full refund.
Classes with special guest teachers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you’re unable to attend.
All classes are for students 18 years of age and older.

I never thought that I could knit color work or take on something as large as a sweater. I’m so proud of myself and it’s only because of the wonderful teaching (and staff when I came in with mistakes!) that I was able to do it! I’m not quite finished but making great progress and can’t wait to wear this sweater forever!
I hadn't made a sweater before and felt really intimidated by the sweater making process!! Let alone in fair isle which I had never worked in before. Elizabeth made the process easy and I learned a ton. Prior to this I had learned everything mostly from books and a little from Youtube, and I wasn't sure I would actually even like taking a class,
but the class was so much better!! Plus the atmosphere is really relaxing. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for another round!
