Get into the knitty gritty of swatching colorwork! It can be hard to predict how your garments with fair isle motifs will turn out without doing a dedicated swatch. This class will walk you through the process with tips and tricks for easier colorwork knitting.
In the first class, you'll start your swatch, and in the second class, you'll come back for discussion and troubleshooting. We will provide a colorwork motif to work with using dk-weight yarn, but if you have something you'd like to try, you're welcome to work on that instead.
You'll discuss:
Materials:3 colors of DK weight yarn and US 5 32" or 40" circular needles to use with included pattern. Or, bring the materials necessary for your personal colorwork project. Please come to class with your materials selected and ready to knit.
Skill Level: For graduates of Knit 2 or knitters who’ve made a hat in the round.

Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is needed to reserve your space. Supplies are not included in class fee unless stated.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the first class for a store credit or to move to a different class or session. We cannot offer a store credit if we receive less than 3 days notice. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions, so please make sure you can attend each class. If a class is canceled, you’ll receive a full refund.
Classes with special guest teachers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you’re unable to attend.
All classes are for students 18 years of age and older.
