Look ahead to warmer weather while learning to knit a new sweater! Anker's Summer Shirt is the perfect introduction to top-down yoked sweater knitting! In this class, you’ll learn to knit a sweater from the top down. You’ll knit your textured yoke, separate the sleeves and body of the sweater, and knit them. Weave in the ends, and you’ve got yourself a new sweater!
Materials: Pattern, enough DK weight yarn for the size you’re making (we recommend Line), US6 circular and double-pointed needles, stitch holders or waste yarn, stitch markers, and tapestry needle.
Homework:Please come to the first class with your pattern purchased, yarn selected, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you choose your yarn.
Skill level: Students should be able to cast on, knit, purl, cast off, and knit in the round. This is an excellent next step for graduates of Knit 2 or those that have previously knit a hat.

Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is needed to reserve your space. Supplies are not included in class fee unless stated.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the first class for a store credit or to move to a different class or session. We cannot offer a store credit if we receive less than 3 days notice. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions, so please make sure you can attend each class. If a class is canceled, you’ll receive a full refund.
Classes with special guest teachers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you’re unable to attend.
