Bold-colored knits are the best antidote to the cold gray days of winter and there's nothing like Noro yarns to help put a cozy, colorful pep in your step!
We've worked up a beautiful new way to start your new year colorfully with our newest yarn and pattern combo: the Ripple Scarf in gorgeous Noro Malvinas and Noro Ito!
Noro lovers rejoice! We've just welcomed a big, colorful shipment of Noro's newest yarn called Malvinas, a soft - yes, soft! - 100% merino that comes to us from the Falkland Islands (La Isla Malvinas) and it's made for bold colorwork knitting!
Everyone loves the addicting pops of vibrant color Noro yarns are known for and the Malvinas line isolates those colors into a brilliant range of semi-solid colorways for color-forward knits in big, 328-yard skeins!
Malvinas is amazing on its own for sweaters and wraps (we can't wait to try it with a strand of Posy!) and it was created to be carried with Noro worsted striping yarns like Ito because they're the same gauge.
Want to see how well they play together? Our Ripple Scarf in Malvinas + Ito is pretty special and we think you're going to love it!
The color play of Malvinas and Ito inspired us to dream up a super wearable, fun-to-knit, color-forward accessory.
Our Ripple Scarf swaps out traditional stripes for gorgeous chevrons, created by alternating Malvinas with subtly striping Ito every 2 rows.
Chevron ripples are easy to knit and once you get the hang of increasing and decreasing in pattern you'll see just how addicting and relaxing this rhythm can be!
To make the Ripple Scarf, you'll need:
Finished size 10" x 68".
1 skein Malvinas. We used color 9.
1 skein Ito. The color we used has been discontinued. We recommend anjo or sukomo for a similar look.
US 8 straight needles OR 24" circular needles
The pattern is free with your yarn purchase. If you're buying online, we'll email you the pattern when we ship your order.
