Designer Antonia Shankland has done it again! The Pinstripe Scarf is an unbelievably cozy neck warmer that combines two of our favorite things: slipped stitches and gradients!
We've worked up this sample in extra plush Woolfolk Far and think this deliciously soft, easy-to-work scarf is a great project pick-me-up!
If you're new to slip-stitch knitting, have no fear! It's a super simple technique that only requires moving unworked stitches from one needle to the other. It's an excellent method for easy colorwork effects by creating an elongated stitch that delivers bold texture.
The slip stitching in this scarf also helps smooth the transitional progress of a gradient color flow, melting one color to the next in a relaxed fashion that's pleasing to the eye.
Woolfolk Far is an extraordinary yarn that's as pleasurable to knit with as it is to wear. Its chainette construction is impossibly light and airy, but its Ultimate Merino content feels so good against the skin and is fantastic for cozy warmth!
