Meet my new favorite shop sample: Joji Locatelli's Gradient Band Cowl knit in Cloud 9 Fibers Filo. Filo's color palette is fantastic and it was so much fun to choose colors for this cowl!
In Joji's original version, she used a gradient set for the lace section and a hand dyed semi-solid for the garter stitch. We decided to switch it up and knit the lace section with this stunning coral shade and then stripe the garter section with subtle neutrals.
I love the simplicity of feather & fan lace mixed with garter stitch. This super summer knit can be your companion poolside, on a road trip or just taking a break with your favorite Netflix show!
Filo is a fingering-weight wool and silk blend that has softness and shine. We were immediately drawn to Cloud 9 Fibers color palette, but once we felt the yarn we couldn't wait to cast on!
The feel of this fabric is substantial with out being heavy. This piece can definitely be worn in the summer at the movies and will keep you cozy through the colder months ahead. I love it doubled up with the pop of color peeking out!
You need 3 skeins of Filo to make the Gradient Band Cowl. We used linen closet, silver birch and begonia, shown above at left. We also love the neutrals combined with amber waves at center and beach day at right.
To make the Gradient Band Cowl, you'll need:
3 skeins of Filo, 1 of each color
US6 24-inch circular or straight needles
